Monday, Dec. 12
The Wrightsville Beach Board of Aldermen will meet at 5 p.m. in Wrightsville Beach Town Hall council chambers, 321 Causeway Drive. The agenda includes:
- Consider a request from Station One Condos for a right-of-way encroachment along South Lumina Avenue to replace to existing wooden fence
- Consider the approval of Duke Energy installing an electrical vehicle charging station on town property
- Update and direction on the town’s bike and pedestrian plan efforts
The Leland Town Council will meet at 1 p.m. at 102 Town Hall Drive for an agenda meeting. The meeting may be live streamed via YouTube. A few items from the agenda include:
- The certificate of sufficiency to annex property owned by Malmo Loop Farm and Waccamaw Lumber Company.
- Consideration authorizing the town to serve on the board of directors of the Magnolia Village Property Owners Association.
Tuesday, Dec. 13
The Carolina Beach Town Council will meet at 6 p.m. in council chambers, 1121 N. Lake Park Blvd, Carolina Beach. The meeting can be livestreamed on YouTube. The agenda includes:
- Voluntary annexation for 20,853-square-foot parcel located at 601 Augusta Ave. into the Town of Carolina Beach municipal boundaries
- Conditional zoning to consider a planned unit development consisting of 22 townhome units located at 205 and 211 Spartanburg Avenue in the residential (R-1) zoning district.
- Approval of financing terms, resolution of necessary finding and reimbursement resolution for acquisition of 1101 N Lake Park Blvd.
The Burgaw Board of Commissioners will meet at 4:30 p.m. at the Historic Train Depot, 115 S. Dickerson St. The agenda includes:
- Fee change for the Burgaw Incubator Kitchen
- Cost of living adjustment consideration
- Cemetary ordinance
- Naming of the former EMS building
The Wilmington Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization’s Bike Ped Committee will meet at 2 p.m. at 305 Chestnut St.
The Town of Oak Island will meet at 6 p.m. at 4601 East Oak Island Dr. Meetings are live streamed here. The agenda includes:
- Consideration of proposals for paid parking management
- Selection of mayor pro tempore for 2023
- Consideration of accepting a $965,000 grant from the Coastal Storm Damage Mitigation Fund (for the beach management plan) and to adopt associated resolution
The Pender County Schools Board of Education will meet at 6 p .m. at 798 U.S Hwy. 117 S in Burgaw. The board will swear in new members, discuss air quality in local schools and a grant for Narcan. The meeting may be streamed via Youtube.
The New Hanover County ABC Board will meet at 2 p.m. at 6009 Market St. An agenda was not posted as of press.
The Pender County Board of Elections will meet at 6 p.m. at 807 S. Walker St., Burgaw. An agenda was not posted by press.
Wednesday, Dec. 14
The Pender County Board of Adjustment will meet at 9 a.m. at the Pender County Public Assembly Room, 805 S. Walker St. The meeting can be livestreamed on the county website.
The Topsail Beach Board of Commissioners will meet at 6 p.m. at Town Hall, 820 S. Anderson Blvd. The meeting can be livestreamed on the town’s website.
The Southport Planning Board Review Committee will hold a special meeting at 4 p.m. in the Nash Street Fire Substation at 111 E. Nash Street. The focus of this review committee meeting is to consider the site plan for the mixed-use project at 115 N. Howe Street.
The Navassa Planning Board is scheduled to meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Navassa Community Center, 338 Main St. An agenda was not posted by press.
The Cape Fear Public Utility Authority will meet at 230 Government Center Dr. at 9 a.m. The agenda includes:
- $594,475 contract with Carollo Engineers for the wastewater hydraulic model
- Water and wastewater treatment chemical contracts

The Brunswick Regional Water and Sewer H2GO Board will meet at 6 p.m. at Belville Town Hall, 63 River Road. The agenda can be found online.
Thursday, Dec. 15
The Topsail Beach Beach, Inlet and Sound Committee will meet at 2 p.m. at Town Hall, 820 S. Anderson Blvd. The meeting can be livestreamed on the town’s website.
The Wilmington Board of Adjustment will meet at 1 p.m. at City Hall, 102 N. 3rd St. The meeting can be livestreamed on GTV8 and YouTube. The agenda includes a variance to floodplain management standards at 5309 Petrel Court.
The Southport Planning Board will meet at 6 p.m. in the Southport Community Building 223 E. Bay Street. An agenda was not posted by press.
The Town of Navassa will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Navassa Community Center, 338 Main St. An agenda was not posted by press.
The Oak Island Planning Board will meet at 10:30 a.m. at 4601 East Oak Island Dr. Meetings are live streamed here. The agenda includes text amendments to the town’s Unified Development Ordinance.
The NC State Ports Authority board will meet Thursday, Dec. 15, 9 a.m. The meeting takes place at the N.C. Maritime Building, 2022 Burnett Blvd. An agenda wasn’t posted as of press.
The Cape Fear Transportation Authority will meet Dec. 15, 12:30 p.m., 505 Cando St. The agenda includes an update on finances and funds review, as well as monthly operations report. A public comment period will be limited to 5 minutes per person for those who signed up ahead of time. Friday, Dec. 16
The Village of Bald Head Island will meet at 10 a.m. at the Department of Public Safety Building in the multipurpose room, 273 Edward Teach Extension. The public can access it via Zoom. An agenda was not posted as of press.
The University of North Carolina Wilmington Board of Trustees will meet at 1 p.m. in McNeill Hall, 5010 Cahill Drive. The purpose of the special meeting is to discuss a 5.5% tuition increase for nonresident undergraduate and all graduate students for the 2024 fiscal year and new student fees.
