WILMINGTON — According to the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office, deputies conducted a wellness check at a residence belonging to UNCW Professor Mike Adams.
A body was removed from the house, but authorities have made no comment yet on the identity of the deceased person.
NHCSO confirmed a death investigation was launched after deputies were called to an address in northern New Hanover County off Bayshore Drive. The residence is owned by Mike Adams, according to county property records.
NHCSO said no further information could be released at this time.
