WILMINGTON — The Wilmington Police Department (WPD) is investigating a Friday-night shooting that sent one man to the hospital.
According to WPD, the incident took place just prior to 7:30 p.m. at 5006 Hunter’s Trail at the Hunters Crossing Apartments complex, located behind Target.
A 20-year-old male victim was shot several times and was taken to the New Hanover Regional Medical Center. As of Friday evening, the victim was in surgery and was in serious condition. WPD said it would release more details as they become available..
