WILMINGTON — The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help investigating a case of animal abuse involving a puppy abandoned in a dumpster.
“The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office Animal Services Unit is investigating a case of animal abuse. A puppy was located at 2355 S. 17th St. in the dumpster at Taco Bell on April 24, 2020,” according to NHCSO.
According to NHCSO, “[t]he puppy, now named Argos is a pit mix and suffered from some injuries but is being treated.”
