WILMINGTON — The Wilmington Housing Authority will soon accept applications to be placed on the public housing waitlist for two communities.

The waitlist for housing at Houston Moore and Vista Village will open beginning Monday, May 4, at 9 a.m.

Applications are available at Wilmington Housing Authority’s main office located at 1524 S. 16th Street or its website. Completed applications must either be submitted online or mailed to WHA, postmarked no later than Friday, May 8. WHA will not accept completed applications in person at its main office.

To be considered for both communities, interested parties should submit applications to each. Two, three, and four-bedroom units are available at each community.

WHA asks that applicants do not contact their offices to inquire about the waitlist. Applicants will be notified in writing once their material has been processed to inform them whether or not they have been placed on the waitlist.

The waitlist will remain open on May 4 and May 5 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
