SOUTHEASTERN, N.C. — Sometimes, it’s easier (and more compelling) to show readers what’s going on instead of telling them.
To round out 2019, Port City Daily has compiled select photos from the year to highlight key events and hometown stories.

Whether it be from the air (three separate times), from the water (at least three times) or the ground (of course, daily), Port City Daily reporters tried to capture the right angle — from the rise of oyster farms in Stump Sound to the public outcry over developers’ plans to cut down old oak trees in Wilmington.
