Fashion show at American Legion turns into crime scene after two females stabbed

WILMINGTON — A fashion show at the American Legion on Saturday night turned into a crime scene after a double stabbing took place.

According to the Wilmington Police Department, “Police are looking for an 18-year-old believed to be responsible for a double stabbing on Saturday night at the American Legion on Pine Grove Drive. Desiree Mary Leona Greene is wanted for two counts of Assault With A Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury.

“The stabbing occurred during an altercation at a fashion show in the building. Police responded to the address for a fight call and possible shots fired. When they arrived they discovered that two females had been stabbed and were transported to New Hanover Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Police were able to determine that no shots had been fired,” WPD spokeswoman Linda Thompson said.

Anyone with information on Green’s location is asked to contact the Wilmington Police Department.
