NORTH CAROLINA — State Representative Holly Grange has announced her intent to run for Governor of North Carolina in 2020, looking to oust Governor Roy Cooper.
Grange, a military veteran and West Point graduate likens herself to President Donald Trump for her ‘outsider’ status.
“At West Point they taught us: duty, honor, country. I’ve dedicated my life to this country. I know North Carolina can do better than career politicians like Roy Cooper. The president is an outsider who gets things done, and I’ll do the same. I’ll deliver the results the career politicians won’t,” she wrote in a press release.
Grange is running on the platform of strict immigration laws, her anti-abortion stance, and “conservative courage.’
“She’s helping to lead the charge to pass a tough immigration law that would require sheriffs to cooperate with ICE. And took on Roy Cooper to stop the cold-blooded murder of North Carolina newborns … Holly Grange strongly supports President Trump [and] personally welcomed him to North Carolina and twice led the pledge of the allegiance for our President. Now Holly is ready to take on the political class with a bold conservative mission,” according to the press release.
