WILMINGTON — Police have obtained warrants for David John Pollicino, 48, after repeatedly backing his truck into a parked car in Downtown Wilmington three times (in one instance) last month.
“Officers responded to 22 North Front Street around 11:30 p.m. where the victim told officers she was sitting in her parked car attempting to leave when a full-sized Chevrolet Silverado backed into her. The suspect vehicle then pulled forward and backed into the car again, and then once more. The victim blew her horn, then the suspect got out of the vehicle and began to yell and curse at the victim,” according to the Wilmington Police Department in a press release.
The victim said she did not know the driver but was able to gather the truck’s license plate information before he fled.
“Investigators determined that Pollicino was the driver of the vehicle, even though he was not the owner of it. The warrants are for hit and run leaving the scene with property damage, driving without a license and failure to see before backing,” according to the release.
