WILMINGTON — According to the Cape Fear Public Utility Authority (CFPUA), sewer work may cause temporary lanes closures on Carolina Beach Road and Shipyard Boulevard.
“Drivers may experience temporary lane closures near the intersection of Carolina Beach Road and Shipyard Boulevard from Tuesday, April 9, through Friday, April 12, as Cape Fear Public Utility Authority’s contractor conducts inspections and maintenance on sanitary sewer mains,” CFPUA stated in a release this morning.
According to CFPUA, work will occur between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. in an area around the intersection pictured below.

“During this period, contractors for CFPUA will do video inspections on and clean, repair and install lining as needed on sanitary sewer main. This program helps to minimize issues within the sewer system,” according to CPFUA.
