CAROLINA BEACH — Hurricane Florence left its mark on the Cape Fear region and while the devastation the storm brought cannot be overstated, the Town of Carolina Beach learned a lesson from the storm and is reviewing its Emergency Operation Plan, and town leaders are looking for resident input to help guide the plan.
According to a town press release, “Following our recent hurricane season, the Town of Carolina Beach has developed after-action items and started the process of an Emergency Operations Plan rewrite. The town is requesting community input during this process and invite all Carolina Beach citizens to attend an Emergency Plan Overview meeting on Tuesday, April 16 at 6 p.m.”
The agenda for the meeting several presentations from 6 – 8 p.m. starting with a welcome from the mayor and town manager.
