WILMINGTON — A dirt bike accident on Princess Place Drive left one man dead after he struck the side of a van according to the Wilmington Police Department — he was not wearing a helmet.
“The crash happened yesterday around 6:00 pm in the 3000 block of Princess Place Dr. Witnesses say 23-year-old, Raykwon Reid was traveling north on N. 30th Street when he tried to avoid a van that was completing a left turn traveling east on Princess Place Dr., Wilmington Police Department spokeswoman Linda Thompson said.
“Reid sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital where he passed away a short time later. No charges have been filed at this time. The investigation is on-going,” Thompson concluded.
