Update: According to the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office, “Dakayda Alicia Boone has been located and returned home safely.” The Sheriff’s Office extended thanks to all who helped get the word out.
OGDEN—The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a missing 16-year-old girl, last seen in the Ogden area.
Dakayda Alicia Boone, 16, was last seen at 102 W. Brandywine Road off of Middle Sound Loop in the Ogden area. On Tuesday, July 24, she was seen wearing a white halter top shirt and black shorts.
Dakayda is described by the Sheriff’s Office as 5-foot-3-inches tall, weighing approximating 120 to 130 pounds with a medium build. She is African American with brown eyes and black hair — a 22-inch weave, according to authorities.
