WILMINGTON—The Wilmington Police Department are asking motorists to avoid two major thoroughfares due to two separate incidents.
The 4900 block of Oleander Drive, which is near the intersection of Oleander and Pine Grove Drive, is closed to traffic in both directions due to a gas leak.
The 4800 block of Wrightsville Avenue, just east of College Road is also closed in both directions due to a sewage issue, according to the Police Department.
Police Spokeswoman Jennifer Dandron said there is no time frame for the re-opening of the roads, but police expect them to be closed for several hours.
