New Hanover Sheriff’s Office looking for armed suspect who robbed Gordon Road gas station

NEW HANOVER COUNTY — The Sheriff’s Office is searching for an armed man after an early-morning robbery at the Quick Buy Shell station on Gordon Road.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the Quick Buy on Gordon Road near the I-40 interchange was robbed at 2 a.m. on Monday, April 30.

The suspect is a white male; during the robbery, he was wearing a black hoodie, black pants, red shoes and a black bandanna with white markings. Security camera footage shows the suspect’s face was covered by the bandana during the robbery.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the suspect “approached the clerk, brandished a firearm and demanded money. After receiving cash from the clerk the suspect fled on foot (in) an unknown direction, Deputies and K-9 responded in an attempt to locate but were unsuccessful.”
