Wilmington police catch Florida men with ATM skimmers, pin hole cameras and cash

Wilmington Police say they believe the credit card skimming ring was operating across multiple states.

WILMINGTON — The Wilmington Police Department arrested three men in connection with a credit card skimming ring on Monday afternoon.

According to WPD, officers conducted a traffic stop on the 3300 block of Wrightsville Avenue around 1:30 p.m. Officers discovered more than $9,000 in cash, credit cards, pin numbers, debit card skimming devices and pin-hole cameras.

Police arrested Ricardo David Abdel, 21, Diego Pablo Arostegui, 22 and Walter Enrique Correa Cisneros, 31, all from Miami, Florida.

Abdel, Arostegui and Cisneros have been charged with False Pretense, Credit Card Fraud and Identity Theft. All three men are being held at the New Hanover County Jail under $200,000 bond.

Authorities believe the credit card skimming ring was operating across multiple states.
