Wilmington Police investigating early morning shooting that left two injured

WILMINGTON — The Wilmington Police Department is searching for a suspect in connection with a shooting early Tuesday, Dec. 19, that left two injured.

According to Department Communications Specialist Jennifer Dandron, officers responded to the 1100 block of North 30th Street at approximately 4:05 a.m. after receiving a shotspotter notification. Upon arrival, officers discovered two gunshot wound victims, a 24-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman.

Both victims were transported to New Hanover Regional Medical Center for treatment.
