WILMINGTON — The Wilmington Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one man injured Tuesday night.
According to the news release, police responded to the 900 block of Rankin Street at approximately 10:10 p.m. in response to reports of gunfire. Once on the scene, officers found the victim, 36-year-old Gerald Jacobs, had sustained two gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to New Hanover Regional Medical Center for treatment.
