WILMINGTON — Several Wilmington restaurants will be matching customer donations for relief aid to victims of Hurricane Harvey this weekend.

Katherin Goldfaden, director of marketing for LM Restaurant Inc., said five Wilmington-area restaurants would be matching customer donations: Oceanic, Bluewater, Carolina Ale House, Hops Supply Co. and Henry’s.

“We’ll be doing this all weekend, Friday through Sunday,” Goldfaden said. “We’ll ask customers if they want to donate one, three or five dollars, added to the bottom of their bill, and then we’ll match it.”

Goldfaden said LM Restaurants would match up to $10,000 in donations.

“We’re just hoping it will bring some comfort to those people who really need it right now,” Goldfaden said.

In addition to Wilmington-area restaurants, 16 Carolina Ale House locations throughout North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia will also participate, as well as Taverna Agora and Vidrio in Raleigh.
