UPDATE: Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office report missing Leland man has been located

UPDATE — According to the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office, David Lee Dotson has been located and safe.

BOLIVIA — The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a Leland man who went missing from his residence and may have driven to Charlotte.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, David Lee Dotson was last seen around 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 17 at his resident on Hunters Ridge Drive in Leland.  Dotson is a 24-year-old white male with brown hair and hazel eyes; he is 5 feet 11 inches and approximately 185 pounds, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Dotson may have driven to the Charlotte area in a silver 2015 Chevrolet Malibu with North Carolina tag EBB-9224.

The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information to contact Detective Charles Liles at 910-80-5756.
