Wilmington Police seek suspect who robbed woman at gunpoint

WILMINGTON — Late Wednesday night, a woman was robbed at gunpoint while sitting in her car on Hudson Drive.

According to Wilmington Police Department spokeswoman Linda Rawley, officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of Hudson Drive after receiving a report of an armed robbery around 11:30 p.m.

The victim told officers she was in the passenger seat of her car waiting for her boyfriend to lock their house when a black male entered the vehicle from the drivers side. The assailant then pointed a pistol at her head and demanded money.

The suspect is described as a slender man, approximately 6 feet tall, with short dreadlocks. He was wearing a black hoodie, dark jeans, white shoes and had a red bandanna pulled over his face.

The victim told officers she saw another male standing outside the vehicle as well. She said this man was approximately 6 feet tall and also of slender build. The man was wearing a white tank top, dark jeans, and white shoes.

Both suspects are described as being approximately 18 to 20-years-of-age, and were last seen fleeing north on Wrightsville Avenue.
