Update: ‘Armed and dangerous’ turns self in to Brunswick Sheriff’s Office

Update: Douglas Anthony Blouin Jr. turned himself into Brunswick County authorities on Wednesday morning.

BRUNSWICK COUNTY — The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office is asking for public assistance in the hunt for an “armed and dangerous” man.

The Sheriff’s Office are charging Douglas Anthony Blouin Jr. with assault with a deadly weapon; deputies have been searching for him since Friday evening. The assault took place at an undisclosed address on Landing Street in Shallotte, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

According to the Sheriff’s office, Blouin may be in possession of several concealed firearms. He is considered dangerous and should not be approach or confronted. Anyone with information about Blouin’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately.
