WILMINGTON — The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Auction of more than 3,000 dresses and accessories is back on.

The auction was originally scheduled for April 22, and was later cancelled after the defendant filed for bankruptcy.

The auction is the result of a writ of execution against an unnamed local dress shop for unpaid rent, Port City Daily previously reported.

The New Hanover County Sheriff’s website has since been updated to reflect the new date of June 24, 11 a.m., at Independence Mall.

“Up for auction is over 3,000 dresses, shoes, and accessories. Featured brands will be Tony Bowls, Mac Duggal, Jovani, Terani, Sherri Hill, Heather French Henry, and Claire’s Collection,” the website states.

Visitors can view merchandise from 10 a.m. until the auction starts at 11 a.m. Cash and credit cards will be accepted for payment.

Accessories, along with footwear and jewelery, will also be auctioned. (NHC Sheriff’s Office)
