NEW HANOVER COUNTY — The County Manager’s office on Wednesday released the details for the meeting among government officials and Chemours, the company accused of releasing the chemical GenX into the Cape Fear River. (Read more about local leaders’ response to the developing situation.)
The meeting will take place at 11:30 a.m. at the New Hanover County Government Center. [mappress mapid=”1073″] The meeting is not open to the public, and is for invited guests only, according to the county. That includes a reporter from Star News, who is expected to report back to other media following the meeting. There will be no audio or visual recording of the meeting.
The media is expected to last 90 minutes. It will be followed by a press conference.
