WILMINGTON — New Hanover County Sheriff’s Detectives have arrested a 19-year-old female for a bomb threat made against J. T. Hoggard High School on May 5.
The bomb threat was made during the school day and forced the evacuation of the school.
Detectives arrested Amy Janae Reed and charged her with one count of making a false bomb report as to a public building, according to a press release from the Sheriff’s Office.
“Detectives continue to work multiple other cases related to a string of bomb threats in recent days,” the release states. “As in this case, detectives hope to hold accountable individuals who threaten the safety and security of New Hanover County citizens.”
