WILMINGTON – Up to $1,000 is being offered for information that could lead to the arrest of a suspect or suspects involved in the murder of 29-year-old Roderick Demetrius Jinwright.

Jinwright was shot in the 1200 block of Ann Street in Wilmington on Aug. 10, 2016, according to Wilmington Police Department Spokeswoman Cathryn Lindsay. Police responded to the shooting at 6:15 p.m. after receiving several calls and a shotspotter notification of gunfire in the area.

When officers arrived, they found Jinwright wounded and lying in the grass at the corner of 13th and Ann streets, Lindsay said.
