Wilmington Art Association invites artists to submit work for show

WILMINGTON — The Wilmington Art Association is inviting artists to submit work for its 35th annual Juried Spring Show and Sale. 

This show will be open April 7-9, 2017, in Wilmington, N.C., during the annual North Carolina Azalea Festival.

Joseph DiGiulio, of Raleigh, with judge the show.  Digiulio holds numerous awards such as the SAS Institute Purchase Award.  He has served as juror for a number of events and has work displayed in galleries North Carolina. His latest pieces are large-scale abstract acrylic paintings that reflect his use of color, line, shape and texture taking on the expression of color and dynamics. 

Submissions for the show may be made from Jan. 8 through Feb. 28, 2017.  The show is open to all artists 18 and older and will include original works in painting, pastel, drawing, printmaking, photography, digital imaging, fiber art, mixed media and three-dimensional work.  Monetary and merchandise awards will be in excess of $4,000.
