BRUNSWICK COUNTY – The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office is saying goodbye to its longtime K9 Officer Bruno, who passed away Thursday night.
The sheriff’s office made the announcement on its website and Facebook page on Friday.
Bruno had served the county since 2008. He was just under 10 years old, according to the website.
“We are saddened by the loss of K9 ‘Bruno,'” the post said. “Bruno passed away peacefully last evening, with his one and only handler, 1st Sergeant Justin Brown, by his side. We will miss K9 Bruno and his service to our agency and our county.”
