Monday, Feb. 9
The Wilmington City Council will hold a council orientation at 8:30 a.m. in the Skyline Center, 929 N. Front St. Meetings are livestreamed here. No agenda was posted by press.
The New Hanover County Board of Education will meet at 5 p.m. in the Board of Education Center, 1805 S. 13th St. Meetings are livestreamed here. The agenda includes:
- Strategic Plan Update
- RFQ for Board Legal Representation
- Employee Retention Committee
The Leland Town Council will hold a special meeting at 1 p.m. in the Leland Town Hall. The agenda only states there will be approval of the agenda and consultation with the town attorney.
The Burgaw Board of Commissioners will hold a special meeting at 9 a.m., 108 East Wilmington Street in Burgaw. An agenda was not posted by press.
The Brunswick County Planning Board will meet at 4 p.m. in commissioner’s chambers at the Brunswick County Government Center. The agenda includes consideration of revised site plans for the proposed Cherrytree planned development, consisting of 1,000 single-family units on 741 acres. Also, consideration of the proposed Mirasol planned development consisting of 195 single-family homes and 145 townhome units on approximately 88 acres near St. James. The board will also vote on the proposed Ladane Gardens planned development consisting of 525 single-family homes on about 408 acres near Ocean Isle Beach.
Tuesday, Feb. 10
The Wrightsville Beach Planning Board will host a regular meeting at 5:30 p.m. at the Wrightsville Beach Town Hall Council Chambers. The agenda includes:
- Electing Chair and Vice-chair
- Turtle lighting
- Parks and Rec Trust Fund
- Discussing and reviewing a text amendment to amend residential lighting standards
The Carolina Beach Town Council will host a regular meeting at 6 p.m. at Council Chambers. The agenda includes:
- Approving budget transfers for merit increase
- Events updates

- Presentation by The American Legion regarding their “Be the One” campaign
- Social District Presentation and Discussion

New Hanover County Board of Elections will meet at 5 p.m. at 226 Government Center Dr. to review absentee ballot applications and discuss other election-related matters as needed. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Stream the meeting here.
Pender County Board of Elections will host an absentee ballot meeting at 6 p.m. The meeting takes place at 807 S. Walker St. The public is welcome to attend.
Brunswick County Board of Elections hosts a 5 p.m. meeting at 30 Government Center Dr NE. It can be streamed here.
The Burgaw Board of Commissioners will meet at 4:30 p.m., 108 East Wilmington Street in Burgaw. The agenda includes consideration to rezone property located on NC Highway 53 from R-20, Residential District to a B-2 Highway Business District

Wednesday, Feb. 11
The Oak Island Board of Adjustment will host a regular meeting at 10 a.m. in Council Chambers. Meetings are uploaded here. The agenda includes:

The Topsail Beach Board of Commissioners will meet at 6 p.m. in the Topsail Beach Town Hall. The agenda includes an update on the public safety building and consideration on clearing 814/816 Ocean Blvd for parking. The meeting will livestream here.
The Town of North Topsail Beach Board of Aldermen will meet for a planning workshop at 2 p.m., 2008 Loggerhead Court. The meeting will be uploaded here.
The Town of North Topsail Beach Board of Aldermen will meet at 11 a.m., 2008 Loggerhead Court. The agenda includes consideration to adopt the North Topsail Beach hazard mitigation action plans, and appointments to the planning board and Shoreline Protection Committee.
