
NEW HANOVER— The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of David Snow, 61, in connection with the murder of his wife, Lynda Neubeck, 68. Snow is accused of killing Neubeck and then fleeing the state.

Deputies responded to a welfare check at 3221 Whitewood Way in Castle Hayne on Thursday, July 24. Upon arrival, they discovered Neubeck deceased from apparent blunt force trauma.
An arrest warrant was issued for Snow, who was located and taken into custody by the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office in Georgetown, South Carolina, after a multi-agency search.
Snow is currently awaiting extradition to North Carolina, where he will face charges including first-degree murder.
The investigation is ongoing, and further details will be released as they become available.
