WILMINGTON — A 49-year-old missing woman, last seen at her home in Sunset Park, has been found.

According to the Wilmington Police Department, Karin Rochelle Ottenberg was found dead at her Harrison Street address. Ottenberg went missing on Sunday, Dec. 22, and was last seen around 10:30 a.m.

The CUE Center for Missing Persons reported that Ottenberg’s ex-husband sent a text message to her cellphone saying he was dropping off their son to Ottenberg’s home on Sunday. An hour later, when he arrived Ottenberg was not home; her phone and car were there.

Spokesperson Greg Willett with WPD said Ottenberg was found in an “obscure location that family, friends, countless searchers, and law enforcement walked past.”

Another search was conducted when a WPD detective found her. The police do not suspect foul play and no more information is available at this time.
