About German Cafe
Our family restaurant was formed in 1985 by Alice, Caroland & Harvey Hudson (Jr). Alice brought many wonderful German recipes from her homeland when she relocated to the USA. These recipes formed the basis of the dishes we prepare and serve today. All menu items are prepared the old-fashioned way, from ‘scratch’ as the saying goes.
We are located in a renovated cotton warehouse circa 1860. The exposed beams and old brickwork add to the old world feel of our restaurant. The charm of The Cotton Exchange created the perfect setting for our old world ambiance that transports you across the Atlantic from the minute you arrive.
We are passionate about serving our customers the best German food, beer, and wine possible. We prepare all of our food and desserts with love, care, and fresh, whole ingredients. We are sure you’ll be able to taste the difference when you dine with us for lunch or dinner.
