
CAROLINA BEACH — The Pleasure Island Chamber of Commerce will host its third annual Wave Awards to celebrate businesses and partnerships impacting the community on Thursday, Nov. 19.
The event takes place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., hosted at Kindred Weddings and Events at 205 Charlotte Ave. in Carolina Beach. It will include cocktails, dinner, awards ceremony, and music, with attire being “Coastal Cocktail.”

The honorees for the 2026 Wave Awards will recognize:
- Britt’s Donuts for the Pat Efird Iconic Business Award
- Surf’s Up Mini Golf for New Business “Rookie of the Year” Award
- WARM NC for the nonprofit award
- Anthony’s Way for the Road to Kindness Leadership Award
- Jeremy Bivens for the Duke Energy Citizenship & Service Award
- Pete Green for the Valor Award
- Lynn Halterman for the Volunteer Award
Anyone in the community is welcome to attend the event and may purchase tickets for $79 here; RSVP is required by Nov. 9.
