WILMINGTON — The same day car enthusiast Jay Leno is coming to perform at the Wilson Center, a classic car show also will be hosted ahead of the event.

The car show open to the public for free from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2025. The vintage display will take place in Lot 2, directly behind CFCC’s Wilson Center.

Leno is a well-known gearhead who owns multiple vintage vehicles and even hosts the show “Jay Leno’s Garage” on YouTube. Last time he toured through town, a car show took place and he greeted everyone. No word whether that’s to be expected this go ’round.

The car show will exhibit up to 50 classics and displays from CFCC Automotive Technology Programs, and will include refreshments and a surprise judge. The judge will name one lucky car owner “Best in Show,” and the winner will receive free parking for life at CFCC’s Wilson Center and a novelty collector’s plaque.

Tickets to Leno’s show, which also includes Arsenio Hall, can be procured here or by contacting the box office at (910) 362-7999 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
