Town of Belville to host Christmas Festival

BELVILLE — The small Brunswick County riverwalk town is getting in the holiday spirit the first weekend of December.

The Town of Belville will host the Christmas Festival on Saturday, Dec. 7, in the Belville Riverwalk Park.

“During this time of the year, we’re elated to share the sights and sounds of Christmas with our fellow Belville residents,” Mayor Mike Allen said in a release.

It will feature food and beverage vendors, artisans and craft makers, plus music, holiday displays, kids activities, Christmas tree lighting, and more.

Here are highlights: 

A Christmas Craft Fair, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Live music from Many Everythings, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Santa’s Village — Holiday-themed area featuring a giant snow globe for selfies, face-painting, holiday treats, gift-wrapping station and meet Santa Claus! Ol’ Kris Kringle will arrive at 5 p.m., just in time for the Christmas tree lighting.

Belville Elementary Singing Sharks, 5:30 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Holiday Train Rides, 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. — New this year, the ticketed paid attraction is open with two various options. Riders will help Santa find Rudolph along the Riverwalk Park.

Then from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., riders will enjoy decorated stops.
