CFCC hosts IT career fair featuring 12 companies

WILMINGTON — In the market for a job in the information technology field? The local community college is hosting a fair with local participating companies.

Cape Fear Community College will host an IT job fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 20 at its north campus, 4500 Blue Clay Road in Castle Hayne, in the BB&T Auditorium.

“The technology sector is rapidly growing in our area, providing the community with well-paying jobs,” CFCC president Jim Morton said in a press release.

The career fair is designed to bridge the gap between job seekers and employers to offer a platform for networking, learning and career advancement.

Attendees will have the chance to interact with representatives from a dozen companies including: Apiture, CastleBranch, CloudWyze, Excite Credit Union, Grover Gaming, Interroll, Live Oak Bank, nCino, New Hanover County government, Novant and Vantaca.

“We are excited to host the IT career fair as a part of our commitment to connecting our students and the community with valuable job opportunities,” Morton said in a press release. “We are dedicated to facilitating meaningful interactions between aspiring IT professionals and industry leaders.”
