LELAND — Just in time for the celebration of Leland’s incorporation 33 years ago on Sept. 12, the town has announced free movies and music performances coming to Founders Park through December, as temperatures cool down.

Live @ the Park and Movies in the Park will take place at 113 Town Hall Dr. There will be three concerts from the end of September to October, and three movies screened in September, October and December.

All concerts start at 6:30 p.m.:

  • Sept. 22: Carolina Soul Band
  • Oct. 6: Legacy Motown Revue
  • Oct. 27: Striking Copper

Movies in the Park will screen at sunset, so times may vary. However, they are weather dependent, so visit the Town of Leland website for updates.

  • Sept. 24: “Luca”
  • Oct. 15: “Hocus Pocus”
  • Dec. 10: “The Polar Express”

No alcohol or pets are allowed, though blankets, chairs and coolers are. Local food trucks will be parked onsite.
