3 Bassets need a home: this week’s adoptable pets

Adopt your next companion!

Deyona “Dee Dee”

This beautiful girl came to us about 6 years ago, as a foster. We fell in love with her instantly and knew we couldn’t let her go. Shortly after, Polly, another basset we fostered, was adopted into the family and the girls quickly became best friends. Dee Dee is a loyal, snuggle-loving sweetheart whose beautiful eyes will melt your heart. Calm and laid back, she is 9 years old and is in excellent health.

Three and a half years ago, her Mommy was diagnosed with cancer. Her health is now preventing her from being able to provide care for the girls. With a heavy heart, she is having to relinquish them to another loving home. The girls would love to remain together if possible.

Polly

Polly, AKA, “Pretty Polly”, came dashing into our lives about 6 years ago, as a foster, but did not stay a foster for long. We fell in love with her and knew that she would add so much happiness to our lives. She formed an instant bond to Dee Dee, her new best friend, who we had recently adopted from CBHR. Polly is an amazing 13-year-old whipper snapper gal that acts like a 5-year-old. She has a great level of energy, but is always happy to slow down for a good snuggle.

Three and a half years ago, her Mommy was diagnosed with cancer. Her health is now preventing her from being able to provide care for the girls. With a heavy heart, she is having to relinquish them to another home. Polly and Dee Dee are hopeful that they will remain together when they are re-homed.

Ronnie

Ronnie joined our family almost 8 years ago, as our first basset foster child. He was bursting with love and energy when he entered our home, and we knew he was here to stay. Ronnie is a man of high confidence with southern charm that will melt your heart. Snuggling is his favorite hobby along with wooing you with his big brown eyes. He gets along well with other dogs, but ideally, because he does not like to share his owner, he could be a only dog.

Three-and-a-half years ago, his mom was diagnosed with cancer. Her health is now preventing her from being able to provide care for him. With a heavy heart, she is having to relinquish him to another home.
