Recapping Friday’s action, New Hanover dropped a 26-14 contest on the road against West Brunswick. Turnovers and penalties plagued the Wildcats as New Hanover dropped their first game inside the conference. Javeon Hall had a one-yard touchdown run, while Blake Walston hit Freddie Taylor on a 35-yard touchdown pass in the setback.

A stout effort on defense and special teams guided Hoggard to a 13-0 shutout against Laney. Keon Bradley blocked a field goal and Jeremiah Kim split the uprights on a pair of field goal attempts in the win. Tony Allen scored the lone touchdown for the Vikings.

Ashley also snapped a four-game skid as the Screaming Eagles used a big night from Freddie Thames in a 34-0 victory against South Brunswick. Thames found the end zone three times in the win. Jacob Reed also threw a pair of touchdown passes, including a strike to receiver Sean Ross.
