Hoggard took one step closer to earning a share of the conference crown as the Vikings earned a season sweep over Topsail with a 5-0 shutout on Wednesday night.
Siara Southerland tallied twice and recorded two assists, while three others found the back of the net. Caroline Lemley, Aimee Darrow and Emma Haywood each scored goals. Darrow and Jess Bennion also picked up an assists.
Hoggard moved to 9-0-2 in the division and 14-1-6 overall. The Vikings close the regular season at Ashley on Thursday.
