Just about 300 tickets remain for Lower Cape Fear Hospice Foundation’s raffle for an Audi A5 Cabriolet convertible.
The raffle drawing will be the highlight of this year’s Last Chance for White Pants Gala, which will be from 7 p.m.-midnight Saturday, Aug. 29, at Audi Cape Fear, 255 Old Eastwood Road in Wilmington.
“We decided to cap the number of $100 raffle tickets we’re selling to make it more attractive to ticket buyers,” Lindsey Champion, Lower Cape Fear Hospice development manager, said. A total of only 1,500 raffle tickets will be sold, and Lower Cape Fear Hospice Foundation will cover the federal taxes for the prize winner. “We expect both the gala and raffle to sell out.”
This year the gala is on a new night, during a new weekend and will be in a new venue.
“We can’t thank Audi Cape Fear enough for its partnership by offering such a fantastic prize and for opening its showroom to host the gala. Anyone wanting to take part in the raffle or come the gala should get tickets now,” Champion added.
Featured band will be The Free, playing high-energy dance music and covering a wide range of genres.
The 2015 Last Chance for White Pants Gala is co-chaired by Linda Brown, Lower Cape Fear Hospice trustee, and Kelly Thomas, who served on last year’s gala committee. Both have worked hard with other committee members to make this a memorable event and to raise funds for the nonprofit Lower Cape Fear Hospice. Gala proceeds will help give the gift of hospice to those in the community who are facing life-limiting illnesses.
