Culler named Mideastern Conference Player of the Year, Braswell takes Coach of the Year honors

The Mideastern Conference announced its All-Conference selections on Tuesday as N.C. State-bound senior linebacker Coult Culler took Player of the Year honors. Longtime Hoggard Coach Scott Braswell was named Mideastern Conference Coach of the Year after guiding the Vikings to a 12-2 record as conference champions.

Junior Ward Coleman was picked as the league’s top quarterback, while Jeavonne Batts (Laney) and Trevor Brown (Hoggard) were selected to the first team for their efforts in the backfield. Ashley won the team sportsmanship award.
