CAROLINA BEACH — A festival celebrating art in Carolina Beach is planned next month to bring together mural artists and the community.
The Carolina Beach Mural Project is hosting the second annual MuralFest Reception and Auction on Sept. 17, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Kindred in Carolina Beach. There will be food and drinks, catered by Thyme Savor, featuring Carolina Livin’ Hors D’oeuvres, at the public art celebration, with meet-and-greets of varied artists and an auction.
The auction starts online Sept. 8, noon, and closes Sept. 17, 8 p.m., and is open here. Community members can browse, bid, and help make future murals possible. Each artist will receive 50% of the winning bid, while the remaining proceeds will directly support future Carolina Beach Mural Project initiatives.
Tickets are $65 a person and include two drink tickets and snacks.
