WILMINGTON — The Wilson Center at Cape Fear Community College has announced rock ‘n’ roll institution Cheap Trick will perform at CFCC’s Wilson Center on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at 7 p.m. as a stop on their current All Washed Up Tour.
Established almost half a century ago by Robin Zander (vocals, rhythm guitar), Rick Nielsen (lead guitar), Tom Petersson (bass guitar), and Bun E. Carlos (drums), the band from Rockford, Illinois, has become part of the very fiber of American music. It has more than 40 international Gold and Platinum certifications, myriad awards and industry honors, featured appearances on over 20 movie soundtracks, and total record sales now well in excess of 20 million.
Five decades in, Cheap Trick remains the same at its core as ever — four guys, three chords, and an unparalleled canon of tunes that will last an eternity, including “California Man,” “Dream Police,” “Surrender,” “I Want You to Want Me,” and the worldwide #1 hit single “The Flame.”
With their 21st studio album on the way and the tour planned to celebrate their 50th anniversary, Cheap Trick continues to move forward with purpose, proving they are not just legends of rock, but still a vital and vibrant force today.
Tickets are available online to Wilson Center Members on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 10 a.m. Tickets go on sale online and in person to the general public on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 10 a.m.
