WILMINGTON — Though temps are falling below freezing as Christmas nears, North Carolina’s official springtime festival is looking ahead to warmer temperatures and the announcement of concerts at Riverfront Park.
The N.C. Azalea Festival will bring Flo Rida as a headliner for its April 4 concert at Live Oak Bank Pavilion next year.
The 45-year-old hip-hop artist is best known for his 2007 breakout single “Low,” featuring T-Pain, released on the debut album “Mail on Sunday.” Flo Rida has sold 80-million records worldwide, with other hits including “Right Round,” “Club Can’t Handle Me,” “Wild Ones,” “Whistle,” and “My House.”
The Miami artist has collaborated with Jennifer Lopez, Pitbull, will.i.am and Sia, among others in the industry. His last album was “Wild Ones,” released in 2012.
Tickets start at $55 for lawn and go up to $170.
The festival takes place April 2-6, 2025, with multiple events planned, including the street fair, parade, garden party and more.
