NEW HANOVER COUNTY — Thalian Association Community Theatre, an area nonprofit focused on educational programming for youth and producing theatrical productions, is on the hunt for board members.

TACT scales five main stage productions, five youth productions and arts camps annually. Last year, it brought in 76,000 people to participate in its events, which also include fundraisers such as Orange Street ArtsFest and ARTfall. TACT also manages the Hannah Block Historic USO/ Community Arts Center for the City of Wilmington.

To fill its board, it’s searching for people who love the arts and have professional expertise to add to TACT’s success. This particularly includes focus areas of strategic planning, legal, fundraising, board leadership, and ethnic diversity.

The board governs TACT and by extension the Hannah Block Historic USO/ Community Arts Center via monthly meetings, committee responsibilities, fundraising activities, and promoting and attending productions.

More information regarding responsibilities and requirements can be found here. Email questions to boardsearch@thalian.org.
