In photos: Dark Star Orchestra

WILMINGTON — The dead came alive Sunday night when Dark Star Orchestra took the stage at Greenfield Lake Amphitheater.

The act, consisting of Lisa Mackey on vocals, Rob Koritz on drums, Dino English on drums, Rob Eaton on guitar and vocals, Rob Barraco on keys and vocals, Jeff Mattson on lead guitar and vocals and Skip Vangelas on bass and vocals, is a Grateful Dead cover band that’s been performing the jam band’s hits since 1997.

On Sunday night, the band performed Grateful Dead essentials like “Althea” and “Jack Straw,” along with songs from the Dead’s contemporaries, like The Band’s “The Weight” and Bob Dylan’s “When I Paint My Masterpiece.”

Below are the photos from the evening, taken by Shannon Gentry of MoonFrog Media.
