From David Spade to Maren Morris, the Marley Brothers to Whiskey Myers, here is planning to tour through the area this year.
David Spade — You may remember him on “SNL” in the ‘90s or perhaps his stint on the slapstick series “Just Shoot Me” and roles in comedies like “Joe Dirt” and “Tommy Boy.” Spade is touring as part of the Joe Dirt Bus Tour, which will stop in Wilmington on June 26 at CFCC’s Wilson Center. Tickets are accessible here.
Maren Morris — Country’s songbird Maren Morris was scheduled to perform at Live Oak Bank Pavilion two years ago (read her interview from PCD here), but the concert was canceled after the opening act due to an incoming storm. It was never rescheduled. She will finally be returning to Wilmington, only this time at the more intimate Greenfield Lake Amphitheater. It’s a stop on her Redux Tour, scheduled for Aug. 11. Tickets go on sale April 26, 10 a.m.
Marley Brothers — Bob Marley’s offspring continue to carry forth his legacy and all of the brothers are coming together this fall to perform downtown at Live Oak Bank Amphitheater. Touted “The Legacy Tour,” the Oct. 2 show will feature Ziggy, Stephen, Julian, Ky-Mani, and Damian, performing their own tracks and their father’s hits. Tickets can be purchased here.
Whiskey Myers and JJ Grey and Mofro — Performing at Live Oak Bank Pavilion, Whiskey Myers, a Southern rock and country band from Palestine, Texas, will be joined by the funky jams of JJ Grey and Mofro — the latter of whom is already playing Greenfield Lake Amphitheater April 24. Both bands are stopping at Riverfront Park’s Live Oak Bank Pavilion on Oct. 22. Whiskey Myers gained a following in 2008 after their debut release “Road of Life” and have continued to garner success, including with 2022’s “Tornillo.” They’re headlining the show and tickets are on sale here and start at $48.
