According to permits from the City of Wilmington, Circus Dog Productions will be in town March 8 for “House Hunters.”
A two-person crew will be procuring B-roll shots in the area, including City Hall, Kenan Plaza, Water Street Park, the Riverwalk, historic downtown, and Greenfield Lake, among other locations.
“House Hunters” is a popular program that has aired on HGTV since 1999. It has filmed in Wilmington before, including in 2012 and 2013, the latter which followed a triathlete on the hunt to find an historic home in Wilmington. Last year, the show also was in Pender County, according to previous news reports.
The current permit does not include information on the episode itself, but says the March 7 shoot does not include actors.
The setup of “House Hunters” includes individuals and families searching for homes and apartments to rent or buy, with the help of a real-estate agent; it’s narrated by Andromeda Dunker. The hunters are escorted through three potential properties before deciding which they prefer by the end of the show.
