Wilson Center offers chance to snag pre-sale tickets prior to online release

WILMINGTON — An event giving people a sneak-peak of the Wilson Center’s upcoming shows and an opportunity to buy tickets early is slated for later this month.

Cape Fear Community College’s Wilson Center is hosting the second annual Greetings from Broadway pre-sale event on May 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Open to the public, the event will feature exclusive pre-sale for single tickets in the 2023-2024 PNC Broadway series before they are released online.

Attendees can take a behind-the-scenes tour of the Wilson Center, learn about employment, internships or volunteer opportunities, and participate in raffles with prizes. Winners could receive opera box upgrades and a year’s worth of free event parking.

“We are thrilled to provide the community with a unique opportunity to step into the spotlight and immerse yourself in the magic of the theater,” Shane Fernando, vice president of Advancement and the Arts, said in a press release. “As a tremendous thanks to the community for their support of the Wilson Center, we are excited to provide an opportunity for our local guests to receive priority access to our phenomenal upcoming Broadway season.”

Buyers must be in-person to purchase pre-sale single tickets. They will not be available online or over the phone until a later date.

Full-season and subscriptions are available now at Ticket Central by calling 910-362-7999 or visiting the office in person at 703 N. Third St. Monday through Friday 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
